The Sleepover - Learn how to bake for better gut health and more!
The Sleepover course has been designed for people who want to learn but also indulge and relax - our kind of people!
Digestible sourdoughs will be a big part of this 2 day course as will soaked breads for better gut health. Scones, biscuits and pastry will also be made on this course and students will learn how to make and enjoy healthier versions.
Day one of this course will conclude with a natural wine tasting and an Italian supper prepared by Karen before cars arrive to take you to your accommodation.
A good night's sleep is vital in helping you to digest all the information from Day one.
We highly recommend you stay the night at Blue Door Barns and will pick you up from there the next day at 10am. It's just a 15 minute drive away.
On Day Two we will learn how to score and bake the doughs we prepared the previous day. While the loaves are in the oven Karen will then do a talk on the science behind bread and how to use it and adapt it for your own gut health. You will then learn how to make flatbreads and stuffed breads before enjoying your own freshly baked flatbreads with lunch.
After lunch we will finish working on the doughs we have left, your goodie bags will be packed with ingredients, recipes and bread before we drop you home to your accommodation or train.
The dates have been designed so that you can then hopefully spend the weekend exploring The Sussex Downs with lots of picnics to include your sourdoughs.
Included in the price are all your meals on both days as well as the natural wines, ingredients, recipe cards and collection/drop-offs to the train station. Class sizes are limited to 6 people.
Day 1 will commence at 11am and finish after dinner that night. We will collect you from the train station that morning or Blue Door Barns if you stay there the night before.
Day 2 will commence at 10am and finish after lunch that day.
All we ask you to bring is an open mind as we so want to entertain you with the best natural wines, in the most idyllic environment, loaded with carbs for a Happy Tummy!
